Artist-in-Residence

Aaron Webb

We are honored to welcome artist Aaron Webb as Appellation Healdsburg's Artist-in-Residence from May 1 - 31, 2026.

Aaron Webb's artistic journey began in childhood as the son of a professional photographer in a small Texas town, where his earliest memories include working in a darkroom with his father, witnessing images come to life through the development process. This early immersion in creativity fostered his ability to visualize images and understand the importance of design, leading him to study fashion design at the Art Institute of Dallas and creative writing at Chaminade University of Honolulu.

Life took Webb far from the art world when he enlisted in the United States Navy in 2004. After serving seven years on active duty, he transitioned to the Reserve force where he continues to serve today as a Senior Chief Petty Officer, having completed multiple shipboard and ground-based tours in the Middle East, including combat operations in Iraq. It was through these profound experiences that he rekindled his passion for the visual arts, discovering abstract painting as a way to navigate his emotional and physical responses to his overseas service.

Webb has since evolved his work far beyond art for therapy, creating an authentic voice through abstract exploration that many can relate to. His textural abstract works reflect the depth of his journey between different worlds and experiences.

Aaron will host complimentary Office Hours & Demo on Sunday, May 25 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Maker Room & Maker Patio.

Aaron's artwork is represented locally in downtown Healdsburg at Rena Charles Gallery.
