We are honored to welcome master pastelist Clark Mitchell as Appellation Healdsburg's Artist-in-Residence, November 15, 2025 – January 15, 2025.

A distinguished artist and designated Master Pastelist by the Pastel Society of America, Mitchell's career has been defined by a deep connection to landscape painting and the natural world. For over four decades, Mitchell has made Sonoma County Wine Country his home, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the surrounding landscape. His mastery of pastel—prized for its brilliant color, ease of handling, and portability—is complemented by his accomplished work in oils, including innovative pieces enhanced with copper, gold, and aluminum leaf.
